Little Women- U

Little Women is a heartwarming story of four sisters growing up whilst their Dad is fighting in war. Based on the Novel, the film was originally released in 1994 and remade in 2019. I was so sure that I had watched the 1994 version, but after watching this version, I'm not sure as nothing that happened jogged my memory. Maybe I got it mixed up with the secret Garden?

I went to watch this with a group of friends, and one of them fell asleep in the film! The film is so great, I don't know how she did it.

The two actors I know well from this film were Emma Watson (who plays Hermione Granger in Harry Potter) and Timothee Chalamet (Elio in Call Me by Your Name).

This film was just such a happy, nice film with a few sad parts sure to make you cry. However, my favourite bit was the fact that Emma Watson, who is British, was playing an American character (amazingly I must say), who at some points put on a British accent. It was amazing.

I'm not a massive fan of period dramas, as my knowledge of these time periods is scarce. However, this is definitely a period drama I can get behind. I recommend this film to those who don't like period films, as it is different, and I'm sure that you would love it.

I would definitely watch this film again and am planning on buying the DVD as soon as it comes out. I would also love to watch the 1994 version now that I am 99% sure I've not watched it before. I'll include the link at the bottom in case anyone wants to join me.
