YFC conference

At the beginning of January each year, YFC has its national conference with around 400 people from many different centres around the UK, and some international centres. The conference was for a week and was a great chance for me to spend more time with my team and catch up with other gap years based in other centres.

Each day we had a morning and evening meeting all together where we had worship and a talk. Each morning the talk was lead by Krish Kandiah on Ephesians, which was so inspirational. He is the president of the London school of theology and the director of Home for good. The evening talk was by a different speaker each day including Neil O'Boyle (YFC National director) , Kiera Phyo and Andy Hawthorne.

During the rest of the day there were seminars on a mix of topics such as paradoxology, mentoring, mental health and relationships.

As well as the seminars, I had one day full of lectures and assignments for my youth work qualification. This was a really full on day but I'm so happy that by the end of the week I had done two of my assignments, one drama and one talk.

It was such a good week to get to know the wider YFC family and I can't wait till mid year retreat to see the other gap years again.

Prayer points:
The tracks project, help getting up and running
Anti bullying roadshow, in a junior school on Wednesday
