Barter books Alnwick

Whilst in Newcastle, I found my new favourite place... Barter books.

This is just one of the rooms!

This second-hand book shop, in Alnwick, Northumberland, is in the Old train station in Alnwick. This Second largest second-hand bookshop in Europe has lots of different rooms full of books, even a 'station buffet' which serves food for the majority of the time the bookshop is open.

Each room has big sections on different genres, I found a massive theology section with books for my course. I even managed to find very specific books on where I grew up, over 300 miles away.

I could have spend hours here looking around! After an hour I only got to look at a very small section of the shop, it would have taken me at least a whole day to look around the whole shop.

Just round the corner is Alnwick castle, or more commonly known as Hogwarts in the first couple of harry potter films. I got a chance to drive around it but next time I am definitely going to save more time to look around.
