Jolabokaflod: Christmas book flood
Jolabokaflod is a Christmas tradition in Iceland where people are given a book as a present on Christmas Eve for them to read that night before Christmas. This is an idea that I love, so always to this with my family.
Here are the books I got last year:
Mum: Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine by Gail Honeyman.
Dad: Snow Angels By James Thompson.
Brothers: The Tales of Beedle The Bard By J. K. Rowling (12-year-old brother), Bad Science by Ben Goldacre (20-year-old brother), and The Infinite Monkey Cage: How to Build a Universe by Brian Cox, Robin Ince and Alexandra Feachem (20-year-old brother).
I get the books from ABE. The books are second hand, and not always in the best condition, but for this, I don't think this matters. The books are always really cheap, and I also used to get my uni books from here.
