One Wish in Manhattan by Mandy Baggot

One Wish in Manhattan follows Haley and Angel, mother and daughter from England who go to Manhattan to visit family for Christmas, however, Haley has a secret agenda, trying to find Angel's Dad. A nice, happy cheesy Christmas book, it was the best thing to get me into the Christmas mood.

'She said a mental prayer in the hope that God was watching this and that he could send a team of disciples to give Michel a kick up the backside.'

One Wish in Manhattan is not the kind of book that I would usually read, but I decided to give it a go anyway. It caught my attention and I was intrigued to see how it would end. I've not read anything else by Mandy Baggot before, but would like to read some more now.

'We all know the end destination, it's all about the stops along the way.'

My favourite character was Angel, the daughter who was 8 years old, and how sweet and innocent she is, whilst also being strong willed and knowing what she wants in life. 

'Just like the butterfly, some of us might not get long in this world, but we need to make sure that every single beat counts.'

I would defiantly recommend this as a great romantic Christmas book to get you in the spirit.

'No more wishes, only honest promises.'
