What I've been up to! January

January started with me travelling from London so Manchester to go to the national YFC conference. The conference was such a great week of catching up with the other YFC one gap years, get to know people from different YFC centres, and getting to learn more about God.

NYFC are starting a new project called tracks, which is a mobile recording studio. We have been applying for funding and have finally brought two vans!!!! This is such an exciting first step towards the mobile recording studios being up and running.

In January we also went to a primary school to do the anti bullying road show again. This is the second time we had done it, and it was also a school that NYFC went to last year. It was quite different to the first time we did it because it was a completely different age group, year 4 rather than year 8, but they all seemed to really engage with what they were doing. We even had some year 5s come up to us at break time telling us that they remembered some of us going into the school last year. The school had been really focused on defeating bullying over the months leading up to this, and some of the kids even showed us a drama they made about bullying one lunch time. It was so nice to see all of the year group acting together to defeat bullying.

Mission academy is a way of teaching young people how to reach out to their friends and share the good news to others. This happens by having 3 Saturday's of training. Many different church youth groups came to the first training day, and have now been given £50 to each youth group to hold a mini mission event before the next training day. We had many different great ideas for mission events, including my youth group giving out hot drinks and snack in the centre of Norwich tomorrow, with a sofa for people to sit on so they can talk to others they don't know about God. I can't wait to hear how all the groups got on at the feedback at the next training day.

Prayer points:
The mission events the youth groups will do as part of mission academy
Meadow way chapel is doing their event on the 13th February
Training day 2 of mission academy on the 20th February
