What I've been up to! March

At the end of February and the beginning of March, we all went to the Lake District to have a retreat with all of the gap years. This was a great time to see one another and to have a break to reflect on everything.

Straight after we got back from mid year retreat, we had the annual showcase, which was a way of showing everything God had done with Norwich YFC in the last year. We had around 100 people come. We were able to show many different things that had happened, such as a scene from the anti bullying roadshow and a song from the jam music group. We also had the track van there for people to look around. 

Running up to Easter, we had a chance to go into a couple of schools to do a project called 'Easter uncovered'. Easter uncovered is an Easter resource where we have 6 different stations with different activities and part of the story leading up to And including Jesus death and resurrection.

On good Friday we had encounter, which is the big worship event that is held once a term. Because it was good Friday we had an Easter theme to the whole evening. With 120 people there, we had a great night of worship and learning more about the Easter story. This evening consisted of Easter egg games, worship, and a way of experiencing Easter for yourself.

That everyone feels refreshed after mid year retreat

All the local people in Norwich will be able to support us in different ways after seeing what we do at the annual showcase

That all the students we were able to share the Easter story with through Easter uncovered we able to understand the story and be able to think about how it applies to their own lives

We will have more opportunities to go into schools to do similar projects to Easter uncovered

All the young people enjoyed encounter and were able to take something away from it and be able to apply something new to their lives from it
