Audible: James Acaster's Classic Scrapes

A while ago,I decided to try listening to me 'autobiographical' style audiobooks, as I sometimes found novels to difficult to follow when doing something else, such as driving. James Acaster's Classic Scrapes was the first non-fiction book I got.

This book follows James' life as he grew up, but instead of the typical autobiographical style, he only told stories of times when he messed up, or what he liked to call, 'scrapes'.

I am a massive fan of James Acaster and his quirky comedy style. I wasn't so sure about how his book would be, but up to this day, I can say that I have not listened to an audiobook as funny as this. I can confirm that people look at you really funny if you laugh hysterically walking down the street by yourself. I think I found it so funny because you could see his thought process through many of the stories, yet many had crazy consequences and endings. To be honest, in many of the stories I would have done the exact same thing.

If you have to get only one audiobook, this has to be it. I listened to this a couple of months ago, and even now when people say 'parrot' or 'soup' all I can think is 'Parrot soup!', potentially the best story from the whole book.
