Scotland '18: Glasgow

To get to Glasgow from London I got the plane. This was at the end of the heat wave across the UK where suddenly there were crazy thunder storms, causing the plane to be delayed. By the time we landed we had police on the plane arresting someone. By the time I was off the plane I was super tired, so went back to my friend’s, Sarah, and slept.

In my room was a headless mannequin covered in paint. I'm not gonna lie, it did catch me off guard many times and scare me.

The next morning, we went to a food festival with one of my other friends. This food festival in Ibrox, not far from the centre of Glasgow, was in a warehouse, where there are similar events twice a month. My friends husband was filming a promotional video for the event, so we got lots of food, had a laugh, and were filmed quite a lot. We tried a bit of everything and it was amazing. If you are in the area, you defiantly need to have a look and see if it is on. I wish  I took some photos to show how amazing the food was!

Once we got back to the house, we watched some ‘full house’ and just chilled for a bit before the evening. One of my friend’s housemates and a little birthday gathering for her 20th birthday so we played some games and ate some homemade earl grey cake made by another house mate, which was amazing! We mainly played telestrations, which was so funny.

The next day we both woke up late and chilled watching TV until about mid-day. We then went to a local café which was run by the local churches. They do lots of community events there, and an alpha course, where you can learn about Christianity. I ordered a chai latte and a salmon bagel, and they were both amazing!

After this we started to head off to Sarah’s church. The service was at 3pm so a bit of a weird time. This was her last week before finishing her internship there, so there were a lot of goodbyes, they got her to go on the stage whilst they have her a present and it was all so sweet. They made a cake, which was also amazing before there was a leaving BBQ the youth group planned to say goodbye to her. It was lovely getting to know people, and everyone was really nice.

The next day, Sarah was working so I set of quite early. It was sad to leave, as I don’t know when I’m next going to see Sarah, but I had loads of fun whilst I was there.

Bye guys! Speak to you all soon.
