Last Christmas- 12A

Last Christmas is a Christmas rom-com about Kate, a woman in London who has just recovered from surgery and has gone back to work as an elf in a Christmas shop. When she meets Tom, her perspective on life and everything around her starts to change. It is loosely based off the song Last Christmas from Wham.

I went to the cinema over the Christmas period by myself whilst the friends I normally watch films with were away visiting family. It was a late showing, so the cinema was pretty empty and I snuggled up under my blanket.

There were a number of great actors including:

Emma Thompson, star of Love Actually, Nanny McPhee and Harry Potter.

Emilia Clarke, star of Me Before You and Game of Thrones.

Sue Perkins, half of Mel and Sue off Bake-off.

This was such a funny film. Everyone in the cinema was laughing most of the way through, and I'm sure everyone could relate to a character in the film. The storyline was great, interesting, and more than just a standard rom-com Christmas film.

However, there were parts that were super cheesy, to the point that I probably won't watch it again. The ending was super cheesy, and I know people who loved the ending, but I wasn't a fan. Have you watched the film? Let me know what you thought of it!
