Hello fresh review

Last month a found an offer to get 75% off a Hello Fresh box so I went for it! I ordered a veggie box to be delivered to my house with all the food ready to prep 3 meals for 4 people each. My plan was to eat one portion then freeze the rest for later dates. I was very excited for the box to arrive.

When the box arrived, I open the box to find 3 brown bags full of cupboard food split into the three meals I have ordered. There is also a thermos bag filled with the fridge food and ice packs to make sure that the food does not go off. As I did not have any meat, there was not a lot of food in the fridge section. There were also the three recipe cards.

The three meals I received were a mousaka, black bean bake and Spanish rice is halloumi. They were all amazing, and I will definitely make them again by buying the ingredients myself. The best one was definitely the Spanish rice with Halloumi. I love halloumi, and even though it should have lasted 4 meals, it only lasted 2 (whoops!). The rice was also amazing, with rice vinegar and fried flaked almonds. I have already started buying the ingredients for this and making it for lunches to take to work.

Everything was really good quality and the recipe cards were very clear and written in a way to make it easy to buy your own ingredients to make it yourself at a later date.

Because I managed to get 75% off the box, it was not too expensive so was a nice treat and left me with less cooking to do each evening. However, it would be very expensive to do on a regular basis at full price, the average meal is £5.

When the order arrived and I opened the fridge container, all the creme fraiche had leaked out and covered the container. This was an absolute pain and meant that I had less creme fraiche than I needed and mess all over the kitchen floor. However, when I got in contact with Hello Fresh, they were amazing about it and refunded some of the money into my account. I think this definitely makes up for the fact that something was wrong with the order.

So, will I order again? I doubt it. It was way too expensive, but if I see another offer with loads of money off, I may do it as a treat!
