Top ten TV shows
I'm definitely one to admit that I watch a lot of TV, and this problem has become a lot worse in the last year or so. However, instead of combatting this problem, I'm going to think about my favourite tv shows, and write about them whilst watching some more TV (Gilmore girls to be exact).
Before I go into the top ten, I think you should all appreciate how difficult this decision was!! I've decided to make a list of films that are amazing but haven't quite made it to the top ten:
- Siblings
- Bad Education
- Veronica Mars
- Brooklyn nine-nine
- IT crowd
- Fresh meat
And here are the Top Ten!!!
10: Gavin and StacyGavin and Stacy is one of my guilty pleasures. It is about a couple, who meet over the phone when they are both working and fall in love. I just love watching it so much, and I enjoy the drama involved. You can also see James Corden before he moved to America and became super famous, his comedy in this time was amazing! I find it quite sad that there aren't that many episodes, and I would definitely appreciate a comeback!! #bringbackgavinandstacy
9: Love Nina
Love Nina was a six-part series on the BBC which was based on a book. Nina moves to London in the 80s as a nanny to two boys. The show looks at the ups and downs of being a nanny, her hilarious failures and mixed up love life. I would definitely recommend it, and its now on Netflix!!!

8: Designated survivor
The idea behind designated survivor is super interesting. Tom is the designated survivor, this means that if everyone in the US government is to suddenly die, he automatically becomes the president. Designated Survivor is about a terrorist attack which kills the whole government, Tom becomes president and has to rebuild America and get people to trust in him. Series one came out last year, and series two is coming out at the moment, one episode at a time, I don't think I have the patience for this! It is a super tense show but definitely worth watching. PS, it got to the point in the first series where I would have to stop episodes half way through, cause I knew that if I got to the end of the episode, the cliffhanger would be too much and I would end up watching for hours!

7: Big Bang theory
If you don't know big bang theory, I am seriously concerned. It is about a group of really geeky scientists who try and navigate through life whilst trying to seem 'normal'. It is hilarious, and constantly on E4. It is also on Netflix, and the new series has just come out!!! So excited.
6: Cuckoo
Cuckoo is such a strange show. Rachel goes on her gap year, falls in love with a guy called cuckoo, gets married and bring him back to Britain with her. Cuckoo is just as his name suggests, he is very strange and the Rachels family, especially her Dad, don't approve of the relationship. They move back into her family house, and try and adapt to living in England. Super funny show which you should watch, it is currently on Netflix.
5: Outnumbered
Outnumbered is about a family with three kids. It was mainly improvised due to the kids big so young but becomes more and more scripted as the kids grow up. Super cute, and sweet, this is what I watch when I want to cheer up!

4: Miranda
Miranda is hilarious, and I definitely want to be friends with her. This sitcom is about a woman who has a lot of pressure from her parents, runs a joke shop and has a failing love life. As I watch, I can just relate to her so much, she trips over the air, which we all do whether we want to admit it or not. Also, her galloping through the streets is a level of confidence we should all aspire to.

3: Bake Off
The great British bake off is a competition among a group of bakers to see who is the best. Each week there is a different theme, such as puddings or Italian, and at the end of the week, someone is sent home. It then continues until the final where there are three people left, and they announce the winner. I generally have a rule against food shows, and they just make me feel hungry, but Bake off is an exception because I just love it so much!

2: Neighbours
Neighbours is a show that I have watched every day for over 8 years, and I'm probably not going to stop doing so. It is a soap based in Melbourne, Australia and looks at yeah so many characters that it can be difficult to keep up. I'm generally against soaps, cause they are so unrealistic, but I like Neighbours cause it has got a slightly (only slightly) closer grip on reality.

1: Gilmore girls
I have watched Gilmore girls for years as well. It is about a mother and daughter who are really close and live life together. The show covers 7 years in their life, from when the daughter is 15 to 22 and covers life events from weddings, new schools, boyfriends, family breakdowns, and everything in between. Its such a lovely show and I was so excited when they announced the new series, nine years later when the daughter is not 32.
