2018 films!

There were many months in 2018 where I didn’t have a chance to go to the cinema as much as I wanted to, but I still got a chance to watch some great films!

Tag. 15

Tag, based on a true story, is a film about a group of guys who play a game of tag for a while month once a year. One of the friends has never been tagged in this game which has lasted many years, so the rest of the aim to get him at his wedding. This film is hilarious and such a good concept. At the end, during the credits, you get to see real-life footage of the original group playing this game.

This was such a great feel-good film, and I would love to get this on DVD so I can watch it again!

Bohemian Rhapsody. 12A

I loved this film and found it very interesting learning about how Queen was formed. I have always enjoyed Queen's music but I was shocked to learn how little I knew about their history. The amount of energy put into the film made this very enjoyable, put with the deep issues faced within the film, I would recommend this film.

This is another film I would love to get on DVD.

Sorry to Bother You. 15

Sorry to Bother you was the November Odeon Screen Unseen, and I had never heard of it before. The film looks at a guy, Cassius, who is looking for a new job and starts working for a call centre. This film was amazing and I loved it. As a Screen Unseen, I was expecting it to be a bit odd, which it was, but this film was a whole new level of strange.

I would love to watch it again to see if I pick up on anything else strange in the films and may buy it on DVD.

Fantastic Beasts: Crimes of Grindelwald. 12A

A prequel to the Harry Potter series, and a sequel to the first Fantastic Beasts film, continues to look at the adventures of fantastic beast enthusiast Newt Scamander. As a massive fan of Harry Potter, I was really excited to see this film but was away when it came out. By the time I’d come back, all my friends had already watched it, so I waited until someone could come with me. Towards the end of December, all my housemates went home, so I was home alone, and went a bit insane due to lack of human contact so went on my first solo cinema trip to watch this. I’ve definitely changed my find on solo cinema trips, and more open to them now. I ended going to this film, and its not like your able to talk to other in the showing anyway.

I slowly building put my collection so I have all the Harry Potter DVDs, so hope to get this film on DVD soon.
