Favourite bands '19

(Confession: I wrote this, and many other blog posts, over the summer, and then forgot to post them. Sorry!! But I guess, better late than never.)

One of the things I love doing is listening to music. I’ve been told that I have a very unpredictable music taste, and I listen to such a wide range of music. Here are five bands that I am listening to a lot at the moment.

Fickle Friends.

Fickle friends is a band that I ended up seeing because my friend was in the support band. I had not really heard the music before but fell in love with it that evening. Their songs are such feel-good songs that instantly lift my mood when I listen. All they're songs are on Spotify, and you should definitely have a listen.

Favourite song: Say No More.

Foo Fighters.

As I was growing up, I heard the Foo Fighters, mainly due to my Dad listening to them. Recently, I heard they're music again, and I loved it. I have the best of CD continually playing in my car, and I’m hoping to buy some of their other CDs.

Favourite song: Everlong (Acoustic Version).

Neighbourhood Youth.

Neighbourhood Youth is an Australian band which I first came across when I heard one of their songs in an advert. I loved the song so much that I spent ages researching what song it was, it was harder than it seems. They have a weird indie rock sound which is great, I’ve now downloaded pretty much every song they have.

Favourite song: Only One. I couldnt find the song on youtube, but I could find the advert that I first heard the song from.

British India.

British India is another Australian band, and they came up as a suggested band on Spotify. They have one album, which is my favourite called ‘nothing touches me’ which I listen to over and over again. This is another ‘indie rock’ band which shows my taste in music.

Favourite song: Suddenly.

The Temper Trap.

And saving the best to last The Temper Trap! The Temper Trap is a band that I’ve been obsessed with since I was 13. Another Australian indie rock band, see the pattern forming, are best known for their song ‘sweet disposition’ which has been in a number of adverts in the UK and was in the film ‘500 days of summer’, however, this is not their best song by far. They have three albums, which are are fantastic. Temper Trap is by far my favourite band, and I would love to see them live, but every time they are in the UK I wither can't make the gig, or they sell out super quickly. Maybe next time?

Favourite song: Fader

Bye guys! Speak to you all soon.
